Land Acknowledgment

Powell Jones acknowledges that we are situated on Treaty 16 land, the traditional land of the Anishnaabe people, which include the Odawa, Ojibwe, and Pottawatomi Nations, collectively known as the Three Fires Confederacy. We also acknowledge the Huron-Wendat Nation who once made this land their home. The land is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

We pay our respects to the past, present, and future caretakers of these sacred lands and dedicate ourselves to advancing truth and reconciliation, and moving forward in the spirit of reconciliation and respect.
